About me:
I am an Architect and Urban Planner with over four years of professional experience. Design is innovation informed by context, research and creativity - a methodology I try bring to my career as an urban planner and researcher.

Within urban planning I concentrate on economic development and sustainability. My goal is to assist communities transition to renewable energy systems and sustainable consumption in an integrated manner with regional economic development.

I moved to Champaign, IL in September 2010 to pursue my Master in Urban Planning Degree at the University of Illinois. As an urban planner, I am fortunate to have worked in the world's most dynamic, dense and livable metropolises -London, Mumbai and most recently, Vienna. At the moment, I contribute to the planning efforts at the City of Urbana through my role as Planner I, as well as to varied  energy efficiency outreach and technical assistance programs through the Smart Energy Design Assistance Center (SEDAC).

Besides loving what I do in the urban planning, I am a nature and travel enthusiast. Check out my LivablePlaces Gallery. My favorite destination is the Himalayan region of Ladakh ... a beautiful area directly threatened by climate change.

Please leave me a note if you have questions or would like to get in touch. I would enjoy hearing from you. Thank you for visiting my website!
